Competition Teams

Our Novice Teams train once per week (usually 90 minutes) and attend up to 3 local competitions throughout the season, plus our Diamond Debut Showcase.

There is no minimum skill level required for these teams. Novice teams focus on perfection and performance of the basic skills.

Our Prep Teams train once per week (usually 2 hours) and attend up to 3 local competitions and 1 national competition per year. Prep teams have a minimum skill requirement to join. In most cases walkovers skills are required.

Typically train 2 x per week (2 x 2 hour session) and will attend up to 3 local competitions and 1 national competition per year.

These teams require a high level of commitment and attendance. Prep teams have a minimum skill requirement to join. In most cases walk overs and stunt experience is needed.

Train 2 x per week (2 x 2 hour session) and attend 4 - 6 competitions throughout the season.

These teams require a high level of commitment and attendance. They require a higher skill level than Prep / Prep Advanced athletes and will typically have previous experience.

This season we are offering a number of Travel Teams, from Atlanta, Florida, Barcelona and Portugal.

From International Summit, CheerSport, Future Cheer Europeans and European Summit North East Cheer will be representing far and wide.

We are also launching an opportunity to represent North East Cheer at The Allstar Worlds in 2028 with a 2 year travel opportunity, giving parents and athletes longer to prepare.

North East Cheer are proud to offer the highest level of competetive sport in the North East. As the only local team to have ever won a Globe at The Cheerleading Worlds, we are proud to produce the best talent in our region.

PLATINUM - Our Bronze World Medalists, have already secured a bid for the 2027 Worlds and are enrolling new members for our next campaign.

TITANIUM - Our Non Tumble Team hope to receive a bid for the 2027 Worlds and are also looking for new members to strengthen the team.
